Waaaayyy back in June I participated in the Creativity Boot Camp. I lost my momentum when I got stuck on the 11th theme, "hush". I had a really hard time coming up with an idea of what to draw (obviously). Finally I thought, "well I could just do something calm and muted".

I have an Otto draped across my lap and there is a cricket chirping at a really high and fast rate which is driving me nuts. I just finished a quick drawing for the next creativity boot camp theme, "drizzle". I'm determined to finish all the themes, even if it takes me a while. I've been giving all of my drawings that are part of the creativity boot camp the name of the theme, or at least it appears as part of the name. But paired with a drawing that of a silver chain on a pink background, "Heavy Metal" just seemed a little too cute. So I just named it "Chain ( Read more... )

I finished the next theme, "multilayered" for the Creativity Boot Camp! I spent a much more reasonable amount of time on this one; probably less than one hour. It might not be as stunning as the ants drawing from yesterday, but I like it ok.

It reminds me of a landscape or of rocks and also sort of a quilt my mom once made.

The inspirational word for today in the Creativity Boot Camp that I'm participating in was picnic. This was a lot more challenging than I expected, mostly because the only thing the word "picnic" conjures up is the really literal imagery that everyone would think of.
